We reject applications for three different reasons: you're breaking your lease to move, you've had eviction proceedings filed against you before, or your income isn't at least three times rent. When we reject your application, you should receive an email explaining our reason(s).
Farther into the process, we may offer a lease to another tenant instead of you based on our scoring system. We prefer tenants who have a bank account, don't own pets, don't smoke, and have rented before. Applicants who don't meet the four criteria receive worse scores and are offered leases later than tenants who meet all four criteria and receive the best scores.
