Our tenant screening process is designed to ensure the placement of quality tenants who will treat our customer's properties well, and to treat all applicants justly, honestly, and in compliance with Fair Housing Laws.
We use the following criteria to screen tenants:
Criminal Report
We look for convictions of the following offenses within the last five years:
We base our list on risk of harm to neighbors, risk of damage to property, and risk of lost rent.
Eviction Report
We look for any judgments within the last five years.
Credit Report
Castle does not have a minimum credit score requirement. Instead, we review each applicant's credit report for indicators of their ability to pay rent in a timely manner, including, but not limited to: frequency of late payments, foreclosure, and bankruptcy.
